The Fantastic Fish is not a real fish, but a being born from the imagination and my creative vision. Every now and then, it happens that one of these fish comes to life, sculpted by my mind and shaped through materials that tell stories: copper pipes, worn irons, parts of old tools, a fork from a silver-plated family service, wood, a lampshade, an antenna. Each element chosen is not just a material, but a fragment of memory, a trace of the past that merges with the present.
These fantastic fish are always the result of particular moments in my life, moments that imprint their energy and uniqueness in my work. Perhaps, deep down, the antenna is a sign of connection, of openness to new horizons.
This year began with great satisfaction and recognition in my professional field, which is my true reason for living. I can only be grateful to the Universe, to the perseverance and love that I continue to put into my work, with the certainty that they will always be the engine of my creativity.
The mosaic was created with the direct technique on old wood.
Materials: Mixed Venetian smalti, artistic ceramics, white and gray Italian stone of Nanto, mixed marbles, white Venetian gold (24K gold leaf), a silver plated fork, porcelain, copper, iron, wood, recycled material.
