When I look at this mosaic, I am reminded of what it means to step out of one’s “comfort zone.” It is never easy, but the rewards for the soul are beyond imagination. “Percorsi” symbolizes the evolution of a life and the transition from one path to another. The mosaic begins with stone, iron, and ceramics, then evolves into enamels and golds, breaking free from the wooden frame. This transformation creates the illusion of an infinite future, representing the boundless possibilities ahead.
The mosaic was made using the direct technique on an old wooden door. Materials: Venetian yellow antique gold (24k gold leaf), raku ceramic, mixed Venetian smalti, artistic ceramic, white Italian stone of Nanto, white Italian marble Biancone, recycled material.
