A painting that was once part of my private collection now needs to “flow”.
The inspiration that led to the creation of Yellow stemmed from a particular moment of rebirth when my heart pulsated with energy reflected in the colors of the painting. While I cannot recall every event or choice precisely, I recognize at its core my heart, on a background of Travertine and stone, which continues to convey happiness and serenity. My “white heart” has hues of orange gold that shimmer and reflect light at different times of the day and copper. The “azure river,” made of transparent Venetian enamel, represents the events of that time that flowed naturally into a realm of joy and tranquility.
Now, I have decided to “entrust” it to those who will find and recognize themselves while admiring it.
The mosaic was made using the direct technique on of wood.
Materials: Venetian orange antique gold (24K gold leaf), mixed venetian smalti, golden Italian stone of Nanto, yellow Italian Travertino marble, ceramic, copper, crystals, mother of pearl.
